There are Amp parts that can be bought/built from the Quills and Vox Solaris (You need Rank 2 with Cetus to unlock, and Rank 5 with Fortuna respectively), but I recommend working on getting the 2-2-3 Amp combo (Shwaak Prism, Shraksun Scaffold, Lohrin Brace) ASAP, as it will make this and later Sentient fights a lot easier for you. Killing the Vomvalysts is priority, don't let your group get swamped by them and waste time having to break shields constantly. Rhino is nice for the Iron Skin and Roar damage boost, Trinity for the healing, Hildryn for extra shields, etc. Things that will definitely help in your Eidolon hunting 1) Bring a frame with some survival/group abilities. It does NOT auto loot, and you'll see it floating centered where the Eidolon went down. Pew pew pew away, and when it dies, sweep up those shiny cores and loot, and especially be sure to PICK UP THE EIDOLON SHARD. Once they are cleared, and the Eidolon gets back up, the whole body is now vulnerable to damage and can be blasted into oblivion. KILL ALL THE VOMVALYSTS ASAP!!! This is critical to ensure the thing doesn't regenerate. Also, you can use your Operator's Void Form to time during the blast to avoid the blast damage.Ĥ) Intermission - Once you take down all 4 segments, the Eidolon will crumple to the ground and start calling for assistance. Either way, zip back over to the Eidolon ASAP when it clears to be ready to start Phase 1 again to take out the shields. So you can either book it away quickly to get out of range, or hop on your Archwing quickly and fly up and away from the blast range. There are two reasons for this the Sentient blast does a lot of damage and can kill you if not careful, but also will drain your Warframe's energy if caught. When each segment pops, there will be a warning from Konzu to get away. Otherwise, high direct damage weapons like Rubicon are excellent to take out the Eidolon segments. Do what you can pew pewing with what you have if you are low damage, work on keeping the Vomvalysts cleared in the meantime. Here's the kicker, they are IMMUNE completely to Status effects (since they're Sentients), so the majority of your weapons are going to flat SUCK at this point. There are 4 soft spots (2 shoulders, 2 kneecaps) that can be damaged to weaken the Eidolon. You WILL get knocked around a lot in your Operator, especially if you lack the mods/Focus abilities to help, just be ready to pop back out as needed.ģ) Damage - So, you broke through the shields, good job! Now, you have to down him. Using your Operator form and Amp, pew pew pew on the guy for those nice blue shield damage ticks, until you see the Eidolon's frame flash red. It is absolutely CRITICAL that you and your squad are killing Vomvalysts ASAP, as they will both regen the Eidolon's shields and make it harder to kill it. Unlocking the planetary Junctions will give the prereq quests, and will also give access to the Mote Amp via the Quills in Cetus upon completion.Ģ) Shields - When you start the fight, the Eidolon will be immune to all damage, so you have to pop that bubble. These can ONLY be killed by your Operator form/Amp, so if you have not finished the Second Dream/War Within quest, you should really work on that pronto. These are to keep the Eidolon from fleeing during battle, and need to be charged by killing the Vomvalysts (the floating skull guys) when they are nearby and have a "tether" linking them to the lure. If not, go finish the initial Fortuna quest chain and unlock the basic K-Drive launcher for some quicker transportation.ġ) Starting the fight - You want to first make sure you have a lure (those bulby orange floating guys), so find one and smack it around a bit to unlock, and then hack it under your control. I -HIGHLY- recommend having the Archwing Launcher, as being able to fly around the Plains is SUPER effective. Xen, don't feel badly, the Eidolon fights don't get explained well in game, and I was fortunate enough to have friends help me initially.
